Homepage of this site comes from a separate html file despite this is a WordPress site. The main intention behind doing this was, I wanted homepage to load as fast as possible & I should be able to do experiments with homepage w/o worrying about other areas of the site.
To load the homepage, I have put the html file in root directory of the site & made below changes in .htaccess file
